The Datalogic Quickscann wired scanner is extremely well designed. Instead of a laser, it uses Datalogic’s proprietary imaging technology to take a picture of a 1 dimensional barcodes and decode them. The scan engine is superior to laser technology, enabling this device to read barcodes that would otherwise be illegible to a scanner.The Quickscan is a plug and play USB device.
The DataLogic QuickScan 2130 Imager Series has reached end of life. It has been replaced by the DataLogic QuickScan QD2131 Imager. Setup Procedures:
I. Connect cable to scanner
II. Connect USB to computer station

Test Procedures:
I. Open Notepad and scan a product barcode
II. The scanner should input the barcode into Notepad on a single line, and then perform a carriage return
III. The cursor should be blinking on the line below the barcode number in Notepad

Common Problems:
I. Scanner beeps, but does not input into Notepad.
The scanner may not be correctly configured for USB interface

D. Hold down the scanner trigger until the scanner makes a series of beeps
